TOUR DE FRANCE CYCLING HOLIDAY
WANT TO SEE THE 2009 TOUR DE FRANCE BY BIKE BUT DON’T WANT TO PAY A FORTUNE?

Cyclists all agree France is truly the mecca for road riding. Magnificent scenery, great roads, friendly motorists and great food/wine not to mention the cycling history all go towards making it a once in a lifetime (or more) trip for cycling enthusiasts. July 2007 saw the Croydon Cycleworks inaugural “Tour des Pyrenees” a resounding success, and now we have put together another great tour designed to take in the decisive mountain stages of the Tour de France, and ride some of the climbs made famous by the race. Most tours of this nature cost $3500 to $5000 to do pretty much the same thing we are. Our 8 day holiday will cost $1900 per person as we are running this as a non profit venture. We simply want to share the costs with a group of friends who will appreciate the experience.
TOUR DES PYRENEES 8 days in July 2009
The Pyrenees may not be the highest mountains in Europe but they are ruggedly beautiful and offer some massive climbs like the 21km Tourmelet at nearly 10%gradient! This week’s stages will be absolutely decisive in the Tour De France, and we will see the leaders battling the climbs up close. Will Lance Armstrong be able to control the race as he has done in the past? Excellent B&B accommodation with terrific food is right on the race route and is in the heart of excellent cycling country aprox 80 km south of Toulouse. We plan on seeing minimum 2 race stages and having plenty of time to ride the classic climbs of Aubisque, Tourmelet, Porte aspet and Col de ment’e.

• All vehicle transfers to and from Toulouse and transport for the duration of the tour (airfares not included)
